Xiao Zhong is a smooth, layered black tea best enjoyed calmly in the evening. On the nose you'll catch notes of prune, dried fruits, nuts, pepper, cinnamon and a whisper of smoke — rich, warming and deeply comforting.

Taste & aroma
Dried fruit, prune and roasted nuts, with warm spice (pepper, cinnamon) and a subtle smoky depth. Full-bodied and smooth, with a long, sweet finish.

When to drink
An evening tea — calm, warming and satisfying. Beautiful plain.

How to brew (gongfu style)
4g per 100ml at 90–95°C (194–203°F). Quick rinse, then steep 15–20 seconds for the first infusion, adding a few seconds each round. Rewards 5+ steeps.

Western brewing: 3g per 250ml, 90°C, 3–4 minutes. Re-steep 1–2 times.
